Vts it or turbo it. A new cam and decat might give you a bit

People say "Vts" it as you want more power, you can spend £800+ on a Vtr and just about be the same power as standerd Vts, or £200 on a conversion and cam and map that etc you'll see 140+bhp.

Get that gay little cat out, then drop a 1.1 gearbox in it. And ovcourse strip the rear, front doorcards. Take the grinder to every piece of metal that looks slightly non useful. Carper out, passenger seat and go for a poo.

Make it lighter. Costs nothing :)

definately agree with the stripping out idea. also vts cost pennies now and if youve got somewhere to do it....itll be a doddle! standard vts lump will always seem quick and just mod that over time :)

remap + cams.
people say VTS is because the 16v engine is a better starting point for more mods and more power

That's because it's not, just over 100bhp with those mods you have.
A vts engine will increase that by a further 20bhp which is over 20% gain and a better engine.
You could cam and remap your vtr and I'm not sure it will feel as powerful as the 16v engine standard.

i dont know what you want people to say if we arent allowed to say vts it lol what do you think you can do the engine to make it faster with out spending money? fit a flux capacitor? if you dont want to vts it or spend serious money then your stuck
on a serious note stripping it and fitting a lightened flywheel with a 1.1 box would help to a certain extent but then you'll just get bored of it in a week, if you can do the gearbox/flywheel yourself then it'll probably cost £100-£120 max to do those things but add a few hundred on if you need to pay a gargage to do it

at the end of the day your always going to want more power wether its 8v or 16v.
as said the best things to do are
Decat
1.1 box
strip out weight
then if you want a bit more go get a kent pt40 or a newmans ph3 and a remap
