I need to know whether there is a 1600 cast iron block with similar pistons to the 1400 xsi..... Domed crown (high comp oe in theory) if not is it possible to get this done via a different method.
Thanks
NOTE: I'm aware I can buy high comp forged pistons and I'm not doing that.... Looking for a cheaper alternative
And finally no I'm not fitting a 16v :P

Yes there is, its from the s1 1600 xsi. The s2 rallye pistons and slighly dished, the ones from the 1.6 xsi look like this I believe:

Very slight dome in later 1.6 pistons, I have built a very pleasing 8v with them pocketed, best one I've seen to date in fact.
