DO NOT! Get a universal backbox off eBay, they are just empty boxes and generally poorly made.

Sportex are ok, but not that great sounding. Peco are ok for a bit of rumble and Scorpion are very nice sounding on the standard centre pipe. Search YouTube for exhaust brands.

Hmm wouldnt agree with affect in car noises. When I have been driving my friends about all they say is "doesnt that noise piss you off" and thats with music on but ive got used to it and dont really pay any attention :y: but yeah defo get one its worth it imo. Have a shop about on here or ebay see if you can get a better brand abit cheaper

Sportex gives a deep drone to the exhaust noise, sounds good under hard acceleration but awful at motorway crusing speed :-(

Agree. After a good few hrs on the motorway etc you get a awful headache.

Ideal for short trips but long journeys.. take plenty of paracetamol :homme:

Yeah, when i bought my mango came with 421, and straight through exhaust with sportex back box, had to be the worst 2 hours worth of driving ever, all motorway back from birmingham... Kept slowing down just to give my ears a rest haha

I would get a supersprint backbox. 2". Looks OEM, sounds nice enough if you have a standard centre section. Sounds amazing with the straight through & decat.... ;)

piper back boxes all the way for me, imo the actually shape of the box is the best looking, the 3" inward rolled tip is the best looking and has an awesome sound

Yeah they're okish on short journeys low rpms but as soon as you're doing 60+ mph it really opens up. Just my opinion, i ran it for a year... was long enough.

tbf even my cat back 2" is a tad drony on long journeys, far nicer place to be in then the sportex though..

Up to you, only good thing about them is they're cheaper. All sound the same on any make car.
