Cam belt

Hi there
what is the best place to buy a cam belt and how much am i looking at paying. ive removed the cam belt as im changing cams and skimming head.
i have removed the cam belt cover (both parts of it). can i keep the covers off so it is easier to change a cam belt at a later date if i cannot afford one at the moment?
its for a vts engine i plan on putting in my furio
