had a quote today to have a VTS engine fitted into the car with water pump timing belt and headgasket and clutch,cammed and remapped.

What would people expect for a price?

Price including the engine?

Standard Ecu or Omex/pred etc...

£1600 at the very least. More if using a different ecu

Yeah they get the engine for me aswell

Probably more £2000 then.. If its a garage doing it.

Honestly, just do it yourself.. Get a couple of mates to help you get the engine in and out.
Its pretty straight forward.
Plenty of complete conversions avaliable on here or eBay.

Yeah...I was going to but I priced it up with parts and everything and for me to do it at work was about £1800 with everything got quoted £2200 so dunno if just to give to somebody to do

I was going to do this until i was forced to go 16V.
Fitting it with my mates, service, gmc cams probably did come to quite alot in the end actually:)

Well I got. VTR engine with unlocked ECU sat at work doing nothing...hmmmm turbo!!!
