would a mark 2 vtr lump go straight into a mk1 vtr? with out any problems or changing looms as i know the mk2 is a quiker engine

Not worth it mate you would have to change the loom and to only go from 90bhp to 98bhp it isnt worth it.
Now drop a VTS in it and it will be worth every penny

yes a Mk2 woudl go into a Mk1 to answer the question!!
If you want more power people prefoer to add the 16v engine in. But as foar as VTR for VTR its a stright swop, you will need wiring loom etc etc tho as the ECU is diferent

Agree with RIB. Your insurance company may not like it converting a VTR to a VTS so your best bet would be to buy a VTS outright. Saves you having to upgrade all the necessaries as well (Brakes, etc...).
