furio inlet mod?

recently bought a furio and looking to make a few changes to it.
read a few bits on here about doing something to the inlet?

can someone explain what is actually done/how you do it? and is it worth doing it.

vtr inlet almost a straight fit, wider and not made of plastic, had one waiting to go on mine for months now but im getting lazy with my car badly :(
