ok i havnt had time to take a peak yet but is there any common place for a saxo to blow a hole or even pop a seal does anybody know so i can turn my attention to that sort of area?
oh yea its an 03 saxo vtr if that helps?

as you can see i have a great deal of problems with gearboxs lol and taking them out and putting them in is really f***ing me off lol

common place for leaks is the drive shaft oil seal.
That's a nasty hole mate.

lol yea tell me about it unfortunatly i was in essex and being nearly 100 miles away from home i though fuck it managed to get 3rd and got home lol
and when i fix my rear hub i will jack the front up and have a look at the driveshaft seals but thanks :)

my vts was leaking from the n/s diff seal. £10 from eBay and fitted in 5 mins once the driveshaft is out.

Thats a pretty nasty hole you got there mate!
How did it happen? Its on the top of the gearbox, so how did something hit it there?
You would expect a hole like that on the bottom lol.

lol yea and i was at mcdonalds drive through and as i went to move forward i heard a bang and stool (N) looked well good infront of a load of boy racers haha must admit tho put me off my dinner quite badly :( drove it onto a kurb to have a look to see the n/s driveshaft was pretty much the only thing holding it in and the rear mount oh and lots of gearbox oil so with that in mind manually put it into 3rd gear and set course for milton keynes (and yea my driveshaft got destroyed in the process but at least i got home but my friend behing me said there was sparks flying under my car but if d/s seal it is thats kool i can manage £10

well the d/s seals are fine its leaking from one of the bolts that hold the 2 halfs of the gearbox together :( gunna be lazy and silicon seal it
