Have you fit them on standard marks? You using standard pulleys or aftermarket verniers?
We usually time then in to the correct settings before the see any mapping but it can be tweaked on the RR you will need the outer cover off

ah ok mate well its abit more involved timing them in properlly and adjusting if you have standar pulleys. You need them on the correct timing settings to make the best power. My 743's were set to the catcam recommendations and fiddling with them on the RR didnt ever make any more power.

Just remove the cover and he"ll adjust them for best power mate :y:
Some ppl cut large holes in the outer cover with a hole saw so they can be easily adjusted if need be.. But normally have aftermarket pulleys to show off lol
Not really worth the aggro if your not gonna be playing with them regular lol

Just take it with cover off and ready mate, he wouldn't cut it no, he may remove it but it's just more time wasted, so best just have it off ready as it'll need I come off regardless :y:

As tom said he should map them to the recomended degrees and then map, don't be worried its how its done, most people ask for the putter cover to ne removed but if he hasn't asked then dont worry unless you wanna do it anyway to save time

I drove for months with no cover, its about three bolts at the top and two or three by the alternator belt bit of a squeeze to get it past the engine mount, what do you mean by the cam ladder case?

i mean the black case near the the alternator that sits beside the cam covers? is that the case that needs removed? i thought it was a cam ladder case

Yes as said just the outter cover needs to be removed, you cant get the inner cover off with out removing a lot of parts, the engine mount doesn't have to come off can force it past
but be careful
