i have just bought a mint 1.4 furio lump and i want to cam it but im not sure what cams would be best! im hoping in the near future to have a rallye or vtr intake system on it, matched with a 1.1 gearbox! would it be better for me to fit the vtr cam into it? and do they fit with no modification needed?

vts has two cams, therefore wont fit. i honestly wouldnt waste your money on a 1.4, it'll still be deadly slow

if your set on staying 8v get a vtr engine or a rallye engine first, theres a bloke on 106oc with a 1.4 8v with like 150bhp but that took some work, so theres not much point
well tbh, ive just bought a 1.4 8v lump so want to see what i can get out of it! but yh dont want to go 16v!

Unless your limited by a racing class, go for the biggest engine with the most valves that you can!

rallye/xsi head or just buy a 1.4 xsi unit . The 1.4 xsis made just over 100 bhp with their head, Z cam and associated ecu map

do you know what the difference is between the furio head and the xsi? could i put the "z" cam into the furio head?

No it wont fit I dont think, bearing sizes are different. If I remember the 1.4 xsi has higher compression pistons, with that better flowing head, Z cam and an iron block too
