As some of you will be aware this appeared on "wheeler dealers" but a guy on e36 coupe has actully took the plunge and tried it.. heres his feedback

Hi there fellow E36 Coupe members. I just thought I would let you guys know a little more about this product and my own experience with this process now being completed on my "220000" mile E36 Evo Saloon.

Web site for more info should you guys not have heard of this decarbonising technology. http://terraclean.co.uk/

OK so I have seen the show and thought WTF is that all about. Done a little more research behind the technology and also skipped through a couple of vids on their main International site... http://www.terraclean.net/news.php Please note before we go any further on this thread, I am NOT trying to direct market, dont own or run a garage and am not in the automotive industry. Also what follows is only my OWN opinion that I thought would be worthwhile sharing with the rest of the community on E36 Coupe...

OK so my car a March'96 "N" plate Evo Saloon, Bought in September 2006 (105k) now just tipped over 220K. Only had ONE vanos changed in that time and apart from ALL the sensors and rubber pipes, intakes, and the removal of AC,EGR,Rad Cooling fan (Kenlowe Fan two speed manual switch replaced) nothing has been apart. The car I believe from the highly detailed service records shows that my car is STILL on its original OEM Clutch yep 220K on original clutch.... My car has been seriously upgraded with quality suspensio, intake, exhaust, ice, HID's etc but the engine has NEVER been apart, only cam cover off for several valve clearance checks and shim up's and as mentioned a newly refurbished VANOS (the same one I bought with the car NON RR with the addition of the NEW solenoid cover plates with the two over size retaining bolts)....

Anyhow, I digress... Recently replaced another TPS (BMW OEM item) after just 17K the other newly purchased item failed. I had the injectors fully refurbished and also a new MAF fitted. CPS and CAM sensors also been replaced in the last couple of years... So my thinks lately apart from a faulty ABS front wheel sensor the car is running 100% better by a proverbial mile form when purchased in 2006.

Wanting to keep the old girl a little while longer thought I would take a punt on this TerraClean with the hope there would be some additional running benefits and also help clean up the internals along with the C02 sensors etc..

I booked my car in earlier in the week with my local TerraClean agent / operator (really do recommend these guys based in Gt Dunmow Essex) https://plus.google.com/112978889548049785819/about?gl=uk&hl=en#112978889548049785819/about

Car was booked in for 10:00 hours. Got there early, family run business with fantastic on site equipment and the cleanest Customer Reception I have ever visited from the "private sector"... Anyhow, they knew about me when I arrived was offered a free cup of coffe and asked if I wanted to watch the TerraClean being fitted, and run on the car..

I agreed and after some additional checks for hooking up the car to the kit were finalised the process started... I guess I dont need to go into detail about what this TERRACLEAN is meant to do, but I can tell you that it DOES 100% work... My M3 was running great anyhow but the idle was not perfect and although my throttle response is already really sensitive this process has made the engine feel even MORE lively than ever before.. Please see the vids...

OK after all this waffle and spending £86.00 (should have been £116 for x2 treatments for engine sizes over 2100cc) what are the benefits..

The TerraClean has removed ALL carbon build up from the intake and exhaust valves, cleaned through and degreased the whole of the fuel injection system and in addition clears through EGR/CAT (I dont have either) and also de-carbons 100% the C02 Lambda Sensors. This process is meant to be carried out every year or circa 10-12K....

OK so I here you ask were there benefits..... OK to summarise then... If I can do this... I have only driven around 50 miles since the process has been completed (takes around 35 mins for the process once the kit has been hooked up and idle is set to circa 2000 rpm)....

The MPG has gone up on the computer from 27.2 to 29.7 miles in this short time.

The Engine now idles like there is a new lump under the bonnet (car has always been good but not this good) Just rock solid, no fluctuation, no vibration, just 110% silky smooth, very "un-characteristic" of a S50 B32...

Engine NOTE on Exhaust (Full Supersprint on mine with De-cat) appears to sound lighter and raspier then ever, there is NO overun pop at all.

Whilst "cruising" home via the M11 holding a steady 75-80 MPH the throttle pedal required to attain this speed was ridiculous it was barely being feathered. If you take you foot off the gas at this speed the cars speed slows very SLOWLY as the engine now is running so amazingly smooth... (its never done this).

The low end punch FEELS a little stronger but the real treat is high up the rev range where from around 5350 rpm the pull on the motor based on (my arse on seat) was noticeable. The combustion cycle has just been made NEW again in basic terms .....

So overall I just want to be ONE of the first to report to you all that if you have a little bit of spare doe and you want to treat your ENGINE to an internal decarbon cleanse then all I would like to say is for the price this service costs and for what it cleans / decarbons / etc its worth every single penny. This kit works on ALL Petrol and ALL Diesel variants (x2 machines Petrol / Diesel) and is exceptionally good for reducing MOT failures for the dreaded "emissions" controls that VOSA employ (those with cats fitted)...

So if anyone else is hearing NEGATIVE feedback about this product please think again. I know my motor inside out and as we know the S50 B32 is a very sensitive engine to sensors / electrical / timing (vanos) etc. However when they are well maintained they are still to me one of the best engines that BMW have ever made (not being biased much LOL)... I can have this opinion as my car has NEVER had a major breakdown since my ownership and having also owned X2 E46 M3's still makes me smile when the motor is singing with the right foot buried in the carpet..

TerraClean is the real deal, I will report back more information for you guys once I have covered another 500 miles or so to see if this is sustained, so far SO GOOD worth getting rid of all that carbon build up inside the engine and through the exhaust system... Even better for the GREEN BRIGADE is 100% carbon neutral the breakdown of carbon is literally dissolved by the TerraClean system and what comes out from the rear silencer is just the normal "acceptable" gasses....

If any of you have any questions, just let me know... I wish I had run a video of this now to make this a little more enjoyable and think that DMS would have been fine for me to do this but this is the first time I had used this garage and didnt want to over do things.

I hope this thread helps other at least CONSIDER this procedure and for once it appears it does do what is says on de tin... LOL

(sorry for ANY typo's) if there are any... "report over and out"...

All the best to you all.

Stu James.
