need this cleared up

hi all, now i have already used the search button but cant ge a straight answer and im in need of one, right can a vts 16v head fit onto an 8v vtr bottom end, so far i have heard the head bolts dont line up but i have checked and they do, next is the issue with the crack case breather but have seen someone drill the block before. I have also checked and all the holes are there for the timing belt tensioners and things. The only one thing I have problems with is that people say that the vts pistons have a slight pocket in them for valve clearence and thats why you cant put the vts head on vtr bottom, any help with this would be great.
Now before people ask why im asking this it is becuase I recently rebulit a saxo vtr engine new shells, rings oil pump the lot and I now want to rebuild a vts head and switch it with the vtr head to get more power but use the vtr bottom end as i have spent alot of money on it. thanks

As far as I'm aware valve clearence is the biggest problem with vtr pistonsn 16v head , but I haven't looked that deep into it

its the only big issue i have but i have heard of people putting vts heads on 1.4 blocks and those pistons dont have pockets in them so makes me think it would work

yeah there all the same just this thing with valve clearences thats worrying me

Change the vtr pistons over to some used vts ones?
