Quick question, i am looking to do an engine conversion on my car. at the moment it is a 1.1. Im looking to convert to either a vtr or a vts. BUT i dont really want to change loom in dash... Does anyone know how to by pass? maybe just changing engine loom?

Many thanks B3OOKES

That's all you need to change if you have a loom from the same year car as yours, btw wrong section, and use the search button.

You only have to change the interior loom when changing from single to triple plug or visa versa.

Stick to what ever plug your ECU is and you will be fine.

Sorry havent quite got my head around this site yet. I have a 3 pin, so if i got another 3 pin... i would have to get the ECU unlocked surley?

Thanks.

Ecu needs unlocking.

The FAQ has a list of threads explains how to do the conversion.

If it needs unlocking ;)

The ECU needs unlocking regardless of what plug it has. That wasnt the original question though.

If you stick with a triple plug ECU off of a VTR/S then you wont have to change the interior loom.

Lol no you need the vts ecu, buy three plug loom unlocked ecu and engine bare minimum you need and as said unplug old imobiliser otherwise you'll lock your new ecu making it worthless

You dont have to use a 3 plug vts loom/ecu you could just use a single and get the loom converted.
