K&N are the daddies. Cant go wrong with them. But since you are comparing BMC & green filters i would go with BMC

Do induction kits affect fuel consumption, increase the amount consumed or decrease? Or is it just the power difference that is noticable?

may reduce fuel economy as more air means more fuel being used. But i doubt it would be noticeable.

What was that on tho?
surely on a small 1.1 i'll notice some difference.
It's given my mates Pug extra va va voom.
Any sites for induction kits that'll fit a 1.1?
www.prosport.uk.com is where i found the 57i, but for green it only mentions fords, everything else it VTR/VTS 1.6etc

it was on my vtr m8, it wont any difference wether its a 1.1 or vtr/vts because its aopen air filter it just sucks hot air in from the manifold!

noise is the only difference....if you heat shield it properly, it will provide you with extra power....also, if you run the air inlet down to the front of the car it will be better....
But i have to agree with the above post....green induction closed is best for power....

http://www.sax-p.com/photos/inline/photo2915.jpg Regards the air inlet down the front of the car, what about behind one of the vents in the bonnet above, mind you thats still going to be sat right over the top of that lovelly warm engine smileys/smiley5.gif

The green induction kit won't do any better than the K&N. It is all about directing the cold air to the filter. Have it sticking out the wing or something!

LOL. Green won't fit anyhow so i#m told. It's got to be a K&N if i fit one.

i think richsvtr was talkin about about green enclosed induction kit which house the filter near the front protected from engine heat and lots of lovely cold air being forced in from the grille, Smithy if you go to your local halfords with throttle body opening sizes etc. they can order you a universal viper which will give you the power and noise we all crave!!

Yeah, i'd seen that.
Still, the only thing that will fit 1.1 in 57i, and i keep getting told that by manufacturers and retailers that know what i'm on about.
