sportex racetube decat

Im looking to get a sportex race tube and decat but it all confuses me
Could someone help me look? My car is a 2000 model furio mk2

Alot of the eBay listings say fits cat downpipe....This means nothing to me.

I always thought my car went manifold-cat-center-backbox but I dunno now?

Says fits to cat downpipe. does that mean that the cat is still there?

i have had the hoffman version so basically if the cat is under your car this will decat it as it bolts on the manifold and attaches to the backbox! post a picture of your current exhaust manifold and the underneath and ill let you know if this product will decat it :) pm me if u need help

Get some ear plugs while your there you will need them with "Sportex", if your cat is in your mani you will need aftermarket mani to de-cat it but if your cat is underneath you will need the down pipe as listed.

this will deffo make you car fully decatted and freeflowing! cat downpipe mean that the cat is located in the manifold/downpipe! to make this a full AFTERMARKET system you would have to get a manifold and a backbox ( you may have a new backbox already)

just buy the pipe above or i can get you a link to my racetubes i buy as im always happy with them! no need to buy a decat pipe separately mate as a race tube is one for the models with cats underneath :)

Isnt listed in description that has a mani, only decat, racetube and backbox

Just bought it, would you recommend buying a new clamp? or anything? What about some silicone or watever for any blows?

id always buy new clamps for piece of mind and get some exhaust paste! i use exhaust paste a lot and it always does the trick! coat the ends of the pipe you will receive and i even coated the middle were it slides on together! just helps make sure its all sealed and what not!

might also need two nuts and bolts for the manifold part as they might be rusty and shit, so replace them will only be a few quid just ask someone about new manifold bolts to connect to centre pipe and they should point you in the right direction :)

as jayline said pretty much, and just get some exhaust paste for a few quid and whack that on the joints, clamp them up and should be all good :)

bearing in mind though, with the clamps i used the bolts on them were long and they were pointing downwards if that makes sense, so on the slightest bump on the road / speed bump / dip in the road etc id catch the echaust bolts resulting in a horribly loud grinding sound and sparks flying out from underneath the car

just thought thats worth a mention :)
and as for the sound i have/had a 3inch sportex back box, sportex straight through pipe and a 4-2-1 mani , videos in my progress thread if you wanna have a gander :)

you have an underfloor cat, so will decat.
my friend had a phase 2 vtr that had phase 1 mani and underfloor car, he put this on his and it was very loud!!!! sounded abit crummy actually
