My saxo's been lowered 50mm, can i still get away with fitting 16's without any problems, or will i have 2 get 15's? whats the best size tyre 2 get?

You can get away with fitting 16s with a 195/40/16 without any scrubbing.
16s are the largest sensible size you can fit in my opinion.

15s are no trouble. If you want to get these, then 195/45/15.

you can get 16s but make sure you gt a 40 profile tyre to avoid arch work any bigger profile and its arch work

Will i lose alot of performance with 16's? what if i went for 205/40/16 would i get more grip?

im not sure if you can 205s, and wider does mean more grip. But steering will be heavier. And I find that the car wants to go straight on alot more. Stick with a 195.

Ive got 16s and the rolling circumference is actually 2mm taller than standards 14s with 185/55/14, so you won't lose any speed.

I find handling really good as the lower profile tyre means you can be more direct with cornering, but I sometimes find that my car flops into the corners alot.
