Seems they make 2 types, one solid piece and one with 4 holes in it? Is there any difference or is one and older design?

i have old and new. the new appear to be the 4 holed ones.

it may be to softern them up. i dont think the old version was that hard mysef.

the new ones are still a lot better than the standard ones expecially if worn

I think this may be case as the last one i bought had the 4 holes in it, and this was a few months ago. Whereas the other one i had (had been on a different car a fair while) was solid.

ive had two both ahd hoels in them i thought it was odd but didnt question it lol i gave one of them to tom5190 and he felt a big difference so even witht the hoels they must stioll be rather effective lol

i repalced all my mounts at once so i coudlnt say which mount gives the biggest improvement
