as above i have a mk1 p reg 1.0l saxo
i changed the seal on the rocker cover and stupidly left someone to tighthen the bolts on arrival i noticed they have snapped the nut straight off so decided il just put a 1.6 vtr lump in it.
Basically i just wanted to know what parts i will need to do the conversion the easiest way.
p.s have searched an dhavent found anything for my model
all help welcome :)

You would rather fit another engine that remove a stud :s
you need the standrd stuff, ecu/loom & engine

Don't the 1.0's need a mount welding in or serious modding? Or am I thinking of something else

They dont NEED one welding in mine hasnt and its fine however if you were doing a perfect job then yea it would be a good thing to do for piece of mind

I'd start with the brakes first.

ive done this but with a 1.4 engine instead of a 1.6!
do the 4 stud conversion first!!!!
then get a vtr engine with the loom, ecu and all little bits!
i'd run the 1.1 gearbox and when its all out treat any rust and even spray the engine bay if you wished!
pm me if you need any help as its all on my thread im local to :)

tbh i found it easy once i got everything i needed! i took the struts off with the wishbones and drive shafts attached to save time! rear axle is a bit of effort to do but do-able!

i'd get the wheel on 1st so its rolling make sure all brake lines are going to fit on it and make sure you got all the bolts and it will be easy to do but i had abs on the rear axle so im going to have to take it off and get new brake lines!
