Has anyone ever seen or heard of a cracked block causing oil smoke on the over run in any car, more so a Saxo?

Just trying to explore my options here, as the last head I put on filled the rad with oil, i only done 6 miles with it before I pulled it apart, it was on decomp so I assumed it hadn't sealed..

Since fitting a new rebuilt head I've got smoke on the over run(bout 3 weeks ago) after going down two very large/steep hills in second gear off throttle last night the smoking has become dramatically worse

I had previously thought it was a worn valve guide, but also have a few ideas to try before I pull it apart

Namely:
Change to thicker oil as it needs a flush (currently on 5/40 as I had some cheap stuff spare and wanted to flush the engine after 500miles)

Sort a crank case breather as the engine has never breathed very well since fitting the turbo

New Turbo as the current one can't have much life left in it now

Failing this ill have to strip it down, I have previously considered rings but a compression test show 180-190psi across the cylinders with 2 head gaskets fitted, so it's not low

Could still be an oil ring as they don't normally show on compression test, but i suppose that'll be something to look for on strip down

Any other ideas??

Shouldn't be technically possible for a cracked block to allow oil into the cylinders on a Saxo though should it?

Trying to think of how the block is mapped out..

Is there a lot of oil in the catch tank at all, or is the engine leaking oil anywhere else?

My guess would of been stem seals, but as you have a rebuilt head that sounds quite unlikely though
