Sportex 3" Back Box Opinions ?

first off sorry if this is in the wrong section not long signed up here !

Recently brought a xreg vtr , standard car in every way possible not been ragged or molested but after getting it home realised the standard back box is looking ruff very ruff , my friend has a sportex 3" back box brand new for sale and before i buy it just wanted ask will this be direct fit no messing around ? are they ridiculously too loud ? your opinion of sound quality ?

They arnt that quiet at all mate, not even subtle. They do sound canny nice (imo)

yeah he said they wer far from silent , being as im on budget and its only 35 quid brand new ima deff have it , just dont wanna sound like a cherry bomb fag lol no offence to cherry bombers ! ta for the input pal

They are loud as fook but they sound nice ..not like a cherrybomb... fitting is excelent on em..

thats what i needed to hear :) cherry bombs r gash imo , okay did want something a lil subtle but my street will just have to deal with the fact i have a night job and a loud car :) as for fitting tht was the main thing i was worried bout as my lock up is choka block with a astra vxr (nur) , sierra cossy , s2 escort rst atm and no room to get the vtr up on the ramps or nothing so will be done out front my house lol

while im here instead of opening a thread to ask anyone know anyone with a mk2 grill spare ? wanna mesh mine out but wanna keep the standard one i got so i can put it all back standard one day (being as its the zest vtr) =)

I had a sportex on my VTS and was loud but sounded great. Nice sporty tone to them and cheap for what you get.

Just upgraded to new exhaust setup! :P

For sale if anyone needing it I have sportex race tube and 3" owtwardly rolled backbox in good nik too?

got the back box now =) just need get her up on the ramp now hopefully friday , ta for the offer but , just got given a sportex race tube after a friend did a shady one at the local scrappy lol over the fence style !!! dnt agree with it but it wasnt me so its win win win for me :)
