ok ive been looking around and someone i know has one of these on his 106 its the alloy inlet manifold for the rallye and i was wondering if i could just fit my throttle body on it a have a 2003 vtr and apparently the open up another 3-4bhp so is it a straight swap or is there customizations needed?

as far as i know check the port spacing and you need to modify it to get a sensor on i think! its covered on a thread on here!

I've just finished (almost, few idling/starting issues as i have to hold throttle open for a bit to let it idle nice) fitting a S1 inlet to my 1.6 306:

Does take a bit of faffing but does sound great. Also think its overfueling slighty, but I expected that.

It won't fit your cylinder head only fits black tops and early silver top heads

If your gonna do a Rallye intake do a Rallye j-cam head too then it is and will be worthwhile

Not sure if you'll run into sensor issues though using a 3 plug loom and ecu on a rallye head, I was lucky as my single plug silvertop loom fitted the rallye unit nicely with only a flywheel swap to VTR and crank sensor change.

well to do the rallye head/inlet conversion its the norm to fit the rallye ecu and loom then splice on your original multi plug

Have any of you who have done the inlet swap come across any cold starting/idleing issues?

I'm having to open the throttle on start up and hold it at 1k until it can idle on its own. It will just stall if I take my foot off throttle suddenly.

When they can be sourced though, I'm still trying to find some. It does still run on VTR single plug gear however, you'll just need the rallye injectors as the vtr ones are too short unless you dont mind a bit of bodge work

so to fit the rallye inlet you would need the injectors aswell? good thing i have the injectors of a s1 :)

No just the xsi/rallye head needs the injectors, vtr ones are too short. You can make VTR ones fit if you cut the securing tabs off the fuel rail but then they arent secured to the head by bolts only the sealing washers which isnt good
