my ss centre snapped on way t'up north, and wont pay the extortionate prices for a standard, so ordered one of these off ebay, 49quid delivered, seems smaller than ss section as the gasket is only a 43mm but fitting wise seems nice, but dunno bout build quality or weather its gonna be more restrictive than the ss centre?? any help?

i've had 3 saxo's now and i've always bought the hoffman race tube as one of the first mods! i've never had a problem with them and they are good quality imo! had one with an ashley backbox before i had the supersprint! it's a good size and doesn't restrict the car in any way!
thats my opinion
(baker556 has my old one so ask him what he thinks)

I was going to get a Hoffman before i bought my supersprint but you know how the saying goes "you get what you pay for" or along them lines. I doubt the quality will be the same, cant be :S

totally agree had my ss centre for well over 3-4 years. from looking at the hoffman doesnt seem half as well made, even better when i spoke to the seller about who said the paint will all burn off after a while and they are made by sportex??

I've had sportex (now using the name hoffman) on several of my cars over the years.
As the factory isn't far from me, so bought direct.
They use much lower quailty steel so will rot much quicker, prob last about 2 years max.
Recently sold an SS centre that was about 5 years old, only a small amount of suface rust on it.

If its 43mm outer bore then it probably is restricting flow. Supersprint is 50mm outer id so roughly 47mm internal.
Standard VTR is 47mm outer bore for reference.
