Hi guys,
I have been told that i can put a vts head on a vtr lump is it possible or is it easyer to put the whole lot in because i have found a vts head.
What would i have to change how much work would it be cheers

im not 100%, i imagine it would be possible if the block studs are the same 8v - 16v, but the loom would be a headache as the sensors would be different, and there are probably more sensors on a 16v head and inlet that on an 8v

Wont work, the pistons in the 8v block dont have the right cut outs. Just buy a full engine, they are cheap enough to be honest

not only pistons but the cambelt pulley on the crank is a different size so tgat all needs to come apart to change it

it can be done if a c2 jp4 head is used. the problem i found is the saxo vts head has external oil drain into the sump. vtr block is not machined for this. however a c2 jp4 head has internal oil drain to the sump.
the extra cambelt idler can simply be bolter on. there is even a hole with threads at the side of the block.
as far as piston cut outs go.... im not 100% sure. my vtr block had forged omega low compression pistons. :zainy:
