Piper Decat Pipe Query

Morning,

I just wanted a question confirmed before I went ahead and purchased my Piper decat pipe.

I will be be buying a 2" Supersprint Exhaust System from Kamracing and also the Piper decat from there but will the Piper decat fit onto my Supersprint System? If so do I need to get a fire ring for it?

The Piper decat is designed to be a direct replacement of the OEM cat section. So if the supersprint system is cat-back and designed to suit a standard cat, it should be fine.

The Supersprint exhaust quotes; "On models with the cat in the exhaust this Supersprint centre pipe will decat the car. On models with the cat in the manifold this Superspint Centre Pipe is road legal."

Am I right in saying on a Mark 2 VTS the cat is in the exhaust and therefore I don't need a decat pipe?

All of the Mark 1 Saxo's and the Mark 2 VTS have their cat located in the centre section.
