Hi mattes.
Need 4 larger injectors for a 200hp project.
I´d like to know what is the best type of injectors to fit my VTS project without using spacers, etc.
Any suggestions?
I´m using a piggyback to reduce/increase fuel rate and also a 4 bar pressure valve.
best regards,
Ogro

Iirc Megane 225 injectors are a straight fit :)

you'll want 275+ cc/min for 200hp, with 0.5 bsfc, and a 85% duty.
Megane 225 injectors flow 390cc iirc, so you'll have plenty of scope. The Megane injectors are also very controllable at low speed, meaning good idle and smooth low end pickup.

ross is that with gasoline? the op has stated that he is trying to use alcohol (ethanol at a guess) in which you need even higher flow rates to maintain lambda.
The op needs to explain what type of fuel is being used in order for an injector sizing study to be carried out.

good spot - I forgot the alcohol comment. E85 possibly yes. :)
More info needed!

simple rule of thumb for E85
find what injector size you need on petrol and times it by 1.47
so for 200hp on a na motor you want 330's x 1.47 = 490's
so for 200hp on a turbo motor you want 420's x 1.47 = 620's
you will burn around 30 to 50% more fuel depending on application
it will smell ace, run ace, feel ace and is actually better for your engine with less risk..... a real bitch to run in winter!

Gotcha!
Here in Brazil we´ve got alcohol on the stations and we usually fit a gasoline tank under the hood with a solenoid valve.
By the time you start the engine, just need to inject an amount of gas and it´s done.
tropical country, matte! hehehe
thanks for all the support.
Will look for Megane 225 injectors.

Thats very debatable. E85 is known for the shorter length branch chains to evaporate more easily in the inlet ports, leaving behind the less volatile longer chains which leads to "gumming" of the inlet ports which can cause a reduction in Vol Eff. E85 acts as less of a lubricant on the intake valve seats than gasoline which can increase wear.
But in terms of performance E85 is far superior. On a turbo charged engine I have seen about a 5% increase in peak performance (knock limited)
