Can anyone tell me for sure what the sensor is with the red bit coming out just about the oil filter housing.

Ino its for the oil but is it pressure sensor or temp sensor or what..

Its on a mk 1 vtr

Thats what i thourgt but was 100%

Are u 100%

I take it that only operates the light on dash board when there is no or little pressure.. Or am i wrong and is it connected to ecu aswell

iirc just for dash light
