Anybody got any advise on direct replacement performane/motorsport in tank fuel pump for a tuned engine. Rang demon tweeks and they say theyve only got one for a vts. Surely they are the same pump right?
Other than that im a bit unsure.
Thanks

yes same pump. Ignore DT on this one. Don't forget you get a discount as a premium member (if you become one) if you buy with DT... :)
255 walbro is what you want. Direct in tank replacement version. Don't be getting a cheap knockoff to save a few quid, or it may turn into an expensive lesson.
Edit to add, however it's unlikely you're outfueling a standard pump. Especially on a VTR...

A walbro high flow pump will do tbh mate, itll just return back to tank whats not needed...
Alot of people just run the std pump, it gives enough pressure, flows good enough... Stock hatch baby!! ;-) lol

std vtr /vts fuel pump is what we use with our s/c conversions even running silly power.
do not run higher pressure than 4.5bar or the volume will drop in a big way
all 1600c std pumps are the same --but beware the 1.4 pumps are not the same

do you mean volumetric flow rate?

I think it's safe to assume John means litres per minute. So yes, VFR.

Dt only lists a 340 or 392 walbro pump. A standard pump max output is about 3bar. So would it be worth a bigger pum or should i stick with the apparently perfectly good standard unit?

Std pumps are run by fletcher (championship winner) fardon, digby, tibbs... Iirc...
Edit: dont go demon thieves either... Have a look at mcgill motorsport...

could i just ask, what's the difference in the 1.1 pump and the 1.6 pump? i'm still using the standard 1.1 pump with my conversion and have no problem. i am actually over fuelling but that's due to the fact i have no lambda
