1.4 wiring loom query

I've recently brought a 1999 1.4 lump for my car without a loom. There only seems to be one wiring loom for a 1.4 on ebay at the moment but its for the earlier 2001 model. Just wondered if the looms are the same? and all the connectors would be compatible with mine. . . cheers.

I can't imagine it being the same would have thought the engine would have been a newer version and I can't see the chassis plug being the same and might also be for a three plug ecu

Well thats what i didn't know. Knew the end of the plugs would be different. But wasn't sure if the connectors the other ends would be the same :/

you can use any 8v loom from a car between 98-99...so 1.1..1.4...1.6 :y: (provided your car is a 99 as you DP states)

long as the engine loom matches the injection type...eg.. your 1.4 is MPI engine, you need an MPI loom :y:

Didn't know there was a spi 1.4 :/ But yeah i'll ask him now, wanna get this shit sorted asap!

Nah i know its an mpi, when i say lump i meant a complete engine pretty much bar loom and alternator. . . . So pretty sure :) He said its from a 99 so imma go ahead with bidding. Cheers for the info bud
