Hi,
I am driving 99" saxo vts.
Specs of my car are;
newman ph5
solid lifters
oem valves,
newman valve springs with oem caps
wiseco 80 mm forged pistons 12,5 cr
forged conrods
Adjustable cam pulley Kentcams
Atspeed İTB,
Omex 600 ecu
Oem fuel pump
AEM fuel regulator
Msd coil and wires
Qualife locked differential
Custom ceramic Clucth
13/61 final drive
Saxo Spoox QuickShift
Saxo Mocal oil cooler kit (stainless steel)
custum 4-1 headers with 60 mm cat pipe.

-----------------------------

I need advice from the experinced members, because ,
my car is not fast from the
106gti's with ph4 camed with out ecu and itb .
There must be some think wrong ,
how could a car with out itb, ecu and stage 4 camed could be faster than my car.
Any ideas, any tips, help me

what injectors you running? You might also need a bigger fuel pump too
what gearbox you running?
what size exhaust? also check it for any restrictions e.g bore size
you got any headwork?
what tyres and suspension you using?

do you have a torque curve from the engine in its current state?

All the answers in the first post,

Both cars stripped, my car is very well serviced, but some thing is wrong

Standarts injectors, standarts fuel pump (what do you recommend), 13/61 final drive, 60mm exhaust pipe , with 4-1 headers,
port-polished head with oem sized valves, gmc itb, with out air box

do you have a torque curve from the engine in its current state?
No i dont have a dyno run

Check Compression - and leak down test
Clean injectors and measure flow - ensure the same across all 4
check cam timing is set to newman ercommendation
You fitted GMC throttle bodies? - MAKE SURE YOU ARE GETTING FULL THROTTLE! The standard mounting studs will foul the throttle linkage unless you cut them down!

Set your AFR to 13.2:1 on the WOT row, set ignition timing out of detonation

Oh - and get a proper ECU! (JOKING!!)

You will need around 4-4.5bar fuel pressure for the stock injectors on that setup by the way

Good luck
Andy

ı built my car for drag races, and illegal rolling races :)
so i dont go with full throttle for more than 1 minute.
do you suggest the AFR to 13.2:1 for 1 minute run, or do i have to try lean mix

gotta love the Turks and Greeks etc, always smashing it up and down their motorways in mad cars.

You could try back at 13.6 if you wanted that's about as lean as I'd want to go, and I'd want to be measuring knock with a calibrated meter at that point.

Have you checked for full throttle? These bodies are very good, but they foul the standard studs!!

When will people learn It's not all about peak power?

13.6 is richer than the normal 14:1 which is lambda 1... The richest youll ever need to go is 12:1 which is about lambda 0.86...

If you feel its knocking then back the spark out... Maybe you need half a day at a dyno and someone to map it properly....

Lambda 1 is 14.7 not 14.1, I've seen turbo's down at 10.5 to 11.5:1, 12:1 is Lambda 0.82

Where are you getting your figures! ??

Sorry yeah its 14.7 and after that its put my 12:1 out as well... but were talking about n/a here and turbo cars run richer than 10.5:1... 7-8:1 aint uncommon for a road car to quench super det....

For a n/a 12:1 is about as rich as youll need to go...

As you advise, we will change injectors with megane rs brans new oem ones,
and we will build a air box for itb, check timing, check compression, and a new map.
i will tell you the result :)
i hope
