If you don't want to spend out money on getting a remap to suit PH3's, 708's or 743's you're probably better running a slightly milder cam such as the 705's as it will run better on a standard ecu that way.
When having the cams fitted you might as well have the belt/tensioners/water pump replaced at the same time.

from what i have picked up, there is very little difference between the ph3 and 708 cams.
as stated, you will be best with a remap to get the most out of the cams and also fit a new timing belt, tensioners and water pump. a decent air filter setup, exhaust manifold and exhaust will compliment the cams. as for the air filter setup, after having loads on the saxos i have had, i found the best setup for the vts was the standard air box with a pipercross panel filter fitted, remove all of the standard ducting going to the air box and fit a length of air ducting to the box, i cant remeber the size of the inlet to the box, but i got the correct size tubing then shrink wrapped the ducting in place and used a jubilee clip for peace of mind, then i ran the ducting to a decent place to get cold air direct into the air box. cheap and cheerful and felt the best out of all the setups i have had, felt the same as my uber expensive procomp carbon setup, just without the induction noise.
