Not necessarily. But everyone will always say to get the best out of the cams they will need mapping. It also depends on what cams you buy.

Ah okay cheers. Im sure i read somewhere that a particular cam didnt need mapping. Only just started looking tbh but thought id ask. Cheers for the reply though :)

You dont need a re-map, you just wont get the full potential out of them.. Only the wild ones will make it undrivable

Anything between £150 to silly amuonts depending who maps it and how long it takes. How perfect you want it.

buy a set off 705s these need no mapping

I would not buy Cams the don't need a remap they gains will be next to none, i got Catcam 743's they say they need a remap but the car is usable dies once every now and then and there is good gains.

your 743s unmapped probley make the same power as 705s

I run Kent PT50's which a designed the run on std timing and map.
Got them second hand so worked out quite cheap for the extra few bhp I got.
Anything wilder than that really needs a remap to see the full potential.
