no problem - please post back with your results though as that thread sort of tailed off without a conclusion and it'd be nice to confirm exactly what it is if you get it sorted! :)

Im going to try a coilpack. I work in the trade so can get discount, but im guessing origional parts req'd?

I'd have plumped for a coilpack too :)
What do you mean about "original parts req'd"? IE, can you use a pattern part coilpack? Might be worth swapping for a mates if you can just to see if that's the problem before shelling out anyway!

I don't trust pattern coils, had one fail one a week after fitting.
Genuine only for me personally.

Funny enough i did try a valeo one from eurocarparts a couple of weeks ago, cost about £80. The light stayed off for a few days then came back on again :(

£117 + vat - 10% discount from citroen. The engine light comes on after its been driven for a bit. Example go out for an hour or so, turn the car off and then back on again and the light would come on. I also noticed it when i was just driving it came on, a little bit quick but nothing major. maybe a knock sensor issue?

Ordered a knock sensor from Citroen as that may be the issue too, that and its far cheaper than a coil pack lol

I don't want to tempt fate but I've replaced the knock sensor and it seems to have cured the issue. Will post back if anything changes
