If you have use of a pillar drill..
Stick the valves in the drill, use some coarse emery tape of the bottom, then some finer.. Then autosol on a rag.. Then a clean rag.. Should be nice and clean and polished up, for the valve stem do the same, just keep away from the seat do you don't damage it
If your removing the pistons, leave them in some coca cola overnight, or paraffin/diesel
If your not, some fine emery tape.. Just be careful to remove all the crap
