hi i am doing a supercharger conversion on a saxo vts so far i have
cut and chop the front of the car up to mount thr charger its a m45 mini
charger. i am mounting it to the body of the car between the bumper and the rad with the belt on a pulley system so that when the engine moves the belt will still be tensioned as there is no room elsewhere. the boost pipe will have to run outside of the car as room is limited but i will add a front mount intercooler soon anyway and i have modded the fuel rail and added a adjustable fuel pressure regulator. and made a circuit up to run a a fifth injector with a 2nd ajustable fuel reg on it with ajustable boost cut in.just in case but now the fun starts the ecu on the internet on the supercharger conversions i have sin thay use a one way valve on the ecu line so it only
sees vacuum as anyone used this before or how do you get around the
boost side of things .i no i can buy a ecu but that costs alot of money
and so far this conversion as cost about 200 pounds a bit of cutting for the belt two pulleys and a belt and some tubes

IS there a question amongst those words?
I'm not sure what you telling us but superchargers are always fun so get some pics up.

Now i don't really know a great deal about turbo's and superchargers, only what i've picked up on here and ssc.
But if your spending £2000+ on a supercharger setup for your car, is it not worth spending another £350 or so, plus some for a remap just to get the best out of the gear youv'e got? Just seems common sense, please, correct me if im wrong.

i have seen a mod that you put a diode on the map to stop it from seeing boost on a turbo car as a fuel cut defender. so i think it should work to trim the map sensor. i will have to test to see what voltage it kicks out at diffrent loads or just get rid of the map all together and do it with a circuit i will try to add pics soon any help would be greatful

firstly, i really hope you know what you're doing with regards to the belt system - there's been a lot of issues with belt slip with people running them properly tensioned, and even toothed belt, so a set of pulleys attached to the body will be asking for trouble IMO.
secondly, do yourself a favour, get some uprated injectors, get a standalone ECU and get it mapped properly, otherwise you're gonna have a blown engine

i had it running with the supercharger for about a year. i wouldnt do it again it was a pain in the ass to make the charger fit lol. i had a lot of fuelling probs at the start but i got them sorted in the end. the charger was sold on the bay in the end and the cars now got a diffrent engine fitted and rwd.
