And what about that shiney silver bit on the fuel rail?

not needed any more
it is a vaccum on higher revs it raises the fuel pressure slightly
the map should accomodate for it not being used so not a problem
my fpr was miles away from anything and not piped up

Alex the silver thing is his FPR, so deffo needed.
The 'filter' bin it and run the pipe into a catch tank (heck even a coke bottle will be sufficient for now)

I have a catch tank to plumb in on my next day off, just to confirm I don't need nothing on my FPR?

WRONG
it works the other way round on an N/A car
when you shut the throttle if it is connected to engine side of t/body it makes a vacum which lowers fuel pressure for over run
on a boosted car it will do both lower it on over run and increase fuel pressure when it sees boost.
for ITBS you do not need it connected as the amount of vac you will get from one t/b on overrun is very small

not far off though its a vac that adjust pressure that isnt needed on itbs is all i needed to know as i dont plan on going boost lol
i was still right in the fact its not needed on itbs
