what do people think to the piper back boxes are they super loud or just nice when you put you foot down. I'm look for one that is fairly quiet until you put you foot down any recommendations

They seem to be only loud on 16v cars. Will just have a sporty tone on a Furio

I had a piper 3" backbox and supersprint centre section on my vtr. With the cat in the manifold, it still passed 2 MOT's no problem. Just got an advisory for a noisy exhaust lol.

would I need to get some more exhaust bushes or would the original do fine or should I get some stronger ones to be on the safe side

All depends on the condition of the ones that are on there. Exhaust bushes are an easy thing to change so when you get the back box fitted, but can't get it sitting in the recess quite right then you can always but some uprated ones after and pop them on to tuck the exhaust up a bit more :)
