i have a 1.4 vts european would a 4.2.1 manifold fit or would it need to be 4 into 1 cheers sonny

Either should fit, as long as you get one for an 8 valve engine.

1.4 vts??? I got a 1.6 vtr mk2 both fit but mk1 and mk2 differ because of oil filter position. Although you can fit a mk1 to a mk2 by a £15 mod to oil filter

As long as its the right one for your car yes, and if its a 1.4 with a vtr kit on its called a furio mate ;)

4-2-1 exhaust manifolds will give you more power lower down the rev-range whilst a 4-1 will give you more top end (and it therefore more suited to a 16v engine or competition use).
