i brought a LUK clutch kit today for my vtr today as i went last night :( , im almost there on getting the box off after a few hours on it after work today i hopefully want it to almost be done tomorrow , but the thing is on the clutch plate it doesn't say which side is the gbox side or flywheel ? ino when i take the old one off i will see that , but i just want to make sure just incase , on the clutch plate you have 1 side the buffs out and one side that is flush , witch side is the gbox side ? the buffed out bit or the flush ? because i thought the flush side went on to flywheel , and buffed out bit drops into pressure plate ? also any tips on how to get drop links off because i could've set fire to my car today because they would not come off for no 1 ? they just kept spinning i had grips molegrips the lot on them , ino there tapered but there ridiculous they get to the end and just say nope that's you lot my friend ! because i cant pull the driveshaft out without atleast getting 1 droplink bolt off ,thanks peeps!

most drop links have a torque bit hole that you push into the thread where the nut gones on to hold it steady

Drop links need to be cut off most of the time unless they have a allen head in the end of the thread.

Also l.u.k clutches normally have blue lettering on one side of the friction material.

man above knows ^^

even when they have an allen/torx indent they seem to always strip in most cases

so budget some grinder time

thinner discs cut alot quicker too ;)

its always these silly little bits that take up most of the time , for the sake of 1 little bolt lol , also just checked the clutch plate no lettering or writing :/ think we agree its the flush side to fly, i will see when it comes off but other times ve done clutches ive took them off the fly and the clutch has dropped on the floor then never nown which way round they go lol :)

If you have an impact gun then try that before anything. The corrosion should haold them in place for the first few milliseconds, hopefully enough to loosen it
