Its more than likely not the de-cat. Check that your coilpack is seated correctly on the sparkplugs ( I you have one ) as this caused my misfire.

and check your lamdba sensor and also your idle contol valve and temperature sensors. Does it die when its warm?

yes it will die wen the engine is warm.... there doesnt seem to be a problem with the temp settings... i thought maybe it might have something to do with the feul settings or something, as wen i am at a standstill the car is hunting... ( revs are dropping to 300 then shoting up to 1200 constantly) the car is now stalling everytime i sit and idle!

if when stationary and the revs are going up and down as you say then probably idle control valve. My mate had that on his vw golf.

Had similar prob with my vts. Water temp switch was changed and all fine for a few weeks then started to happen again. Was eventually diagnosed as a faulty ignition switch which led to more faults - now dead!!! Get it cheched out by an auto electrician and if it is that don't ignore like I did!!!

Yeah best bet is to get a Diagnostics on it. Water temp is usally the cause of this problem.
