radiator is smaller and i THINK you need the vts/gti top hose as the others are shorter, dont hold me to the last part though please. :homme:

16v top rad hose has 2 outlets for the oil cooler - which comes standard.

I think it does mate , I know vts engines have em but gti engines don't
Oh and also! Throttle cable, is the one of the quicky now sufficient?

Is it just a case of take it off and fit a new oil filter with an oil insert?

no point starting a new thread so here go my last questions before the time comes for the 16v lump shortly :D
throttle cable, will the standard 106 one not work?
if not ive heard/read that using bike ( gear ) cable works well? if so, how long does it need to be?
also , the top rad hose, if i choose not to hook up the oil cooler will the standard rad hose on my 03 quicky fit? or is it too short?
cheers lads!

Cables too short on 8vs... any bike cable will do as they can be trimmed to size, and id say yes if your going to use your radiator.

no point in paying £30+ for a '106, saxo' one (they are all universal kits anyway), ive used bike gear cable 3 times, work fine, just dont get a brake cable as it wont fit, cost me 10p for a gear cable from work lol

i'll just find a shitty little bike shop that'll have em for cheap!
and as for the rad hose, will the standard 106 one deffo fit?

oh, also the fuel return! knew id forgotten something!
ive read that some people whove done the conversion just blocked off the fuel return and it ran fine, yet some people who blocked it off it caused all sorts of shit?

Fuel return can be a bit hit and miss.
Ran mine without and it ran alright, and ran it with and stayed the same.

mine ran fine with blocked return for 3 years!
rad/fan/bottom hose will be fine
even 16v top hoses without oil cooler are different i think

right well just gotta hope its all good with mine!
and when i block the fuel return if it doesnt like it , would it possibly stop it from starting? or make it just run like a bag of shit?

i got one from a small motorfactors, GSF around the corner didnt have any in so i had to pay the stupid high price, as i needed the whole kit not just a inner cable

i bought full kit from euro parts. asled for 106 rallye cable
