Does anyone know what sort off power you can get from a rally spec cam on 1.6 16v. What revs does the power drop off and how low do they really come on song. Is it poss to get 190bhp from these??

You won't make 190 bhp on the stock throttle body.

what "rally spec" cam do you mean? Catcam do a rally spec cam for example.
No cam on this earth will give you 190bhp on it's own from a saxo. For 190bhp, you'll need deep pockets, or boost. Or both.

Cars already on bodies rods pistons etc. just curious as to what people have achieved with a Kent/piper rally cams.

Should have maybe mentioned that... :S
AlexB has a setup around that power (185ish) - you'll need to talk to him about the specifics of his setup but hes got the power you're after. If you want more, there's a few guys who have that, Josh (jpsaxo) namely.

What setup do you have and what power are you currently making? 190 N/A is pretty simple theres a few options

In theory, 225+.
Of course, there's a lot more to it than just choosing a random set of profiles and throwing them in, there's inlet lengths exhaust primaries and secondary lengths and diameters, port shapes and sizes, valve shapes and valve seats (good all round engines don't use much bigger than stock if anything BTW)

actually you probably can, but it wont be as nice to drive as a well setup ITB arrangement.
C2R2's make 180 on stock Inlet, stock rods, solid tappets, Citroen racing R2 spec cams and forged pistons.

It's a bit of a long story but I'm currently running 160ish. I haven't time before next seasons racing to build the engine that I want ( will start that next year) I just need to liven the engine I already have up a bit without throwing to much money at it. It needs to make good power up to about 8000 (because of my gearing and running hydros) it has cat 743s at the mo so wilder cams will def help. I was just seeing what others have used with opinions of how good or bad they are.

Its not as straight forward as that though as it depends on the rest of your spec really, if you list the spec as it is then some one can tell you if 190 is achieveable or not with just a cam change or what sort of effect a cam change will have.

A 'rally' cam would aim towards a wide power band, for circuit racing you don't use so much of the rev range so benefit from a different cam profile and engine build.

It needs to make good power from about 4000/4500 ish. So a that's why I thought of the rally profile. I only used 190bhp as a guide I could care less about what figures it makes so long as it performs well. The engine spec will be steel rods high comp pistons. Standard valves (j4) mild head work. Gsxr 1000 throttle bodies on sandys manifold lightened pulleys and fly wheel. Piper ex manifold.

I'd be looking at the proper details regarding the profile rather than whether it is advertised as 'Rally Spec'
Too many companies simply manufacture a cam profile without really knowing what is suitable..

yea your right but im not really spoilt for choice for off the shelf cams for hyrodrolic followers.
