is there a difference between 8v and 16v bottom ends? i am looking at buying a turbo 16v with bottom end troubles of a member oh here. and in my shed i have a newly rebuilt 8v with forged pistons, lightened and balanced crank, ect ect am i on to a win or will my 180 brake 8v lump be useless

yes they are different
it depedns what you are wanting to do..you havent made it clear

been told the rings are nakerd its starting to smock and is filling catch tank every 20-30 mile so i want to make it reliable

ohh i read that wrong
your looking at buying jones vts.. but already have a forged 8v bottom end!
what pistons are in your 8v? spec?
i might buy that off you..and you can put another 16v in the vts ;)

all i know is that they are wossner high comp forged Pistons, it is a complete lump mate if Ur interested comes with a stage 2 gas flowed head, cat cam, new h/g and cambelt

also has the mapped ecu for that engine but needs unlocking due to imobiliser, also has larger injectors and a few other bits i can not think off
