Anyone know whats likely to cause the rev counter to be intermittant on a 206 derv? Its a 1.9 non turbo.

Problem is if i'm driving for around half an hour or so, it will suddenly spring to life and work perfectly. Turn it off and on, and it'll click to 0 and run from there, even sometimes dying when i'm driving and not moving. The fact it works sometimes is puzzling me!

Engine runs fine though!

But good call on the crank sensor. Its either that or the dial itself is screwed!
