Not worth it at all, keep the standard one.

Depends if you want achieve powaaaaaa then you might as well throw money in a very big wishing well. If you want it to make it sound a big better then you can bolt on an aftermarket filter if you wish, however you will more than likely make things slightly worse depending on what one you buy. But its only a 1.1 so who really gives a flying fuck :)
With 1.1's i've always said its best just to make them look nice and clean. Other than making it a sleeper, but thats more hassle than its worth on a 1.1.
Also if your car is a 1.1i then it won't be SPI just fyi

I shall leave it as it is then. Goes fairly well for a 1.1. Drove newer 1.1s and they are so slow

If you want noise, drill the airbox - its free and will make it sound meatier if actually making performance worse

Or buy a different head with loom and Ecu? Surely that will give ya a few more ponies?

All 1.0 and phase 1 1.1s are SPI.

Yeah dont bother with my 1.0 SPI i I had a cheap filter in garage put it on and it made the car slower. It didnt want to rev. Runs much better with standard airbox.
