sportex back box

I have searched for a little while to answer this question but I can't find anything definite. Will a sportex 3" backbox fit on to a standard centre section of a mark 2 saxo VTR?

also does anyone have any videos of how just the backbox sounds with the standard system and any pics of how it hangs?

No video, but yes it does fit.

I'll say as ive had a 3" sportex not on a Saxo though. they're noisy but sound alright personally.

Mine can be seen on my pictures, it fits perfectly into the recess. It is reasonably quiet, even at high revs. But definately noticable & cost me £20 so can grumble

i have one on my vtr, anyone who says its loud is talking crap, unless you have a decat then i wouldnt know, but i got a sportex and a cat, no middle silencer, and it not much louder than standard tbh, you know its there though, and 3" outward rolled looks spot on in the vt rear bumper imo :)

I had mine on my 1.1 with de cat and vtr with no cat or mid silencer and i can tell u they are fuckin loud! Sound spot on tho... but i agree that with a cat its barely noticeble

I also had one without the cat and it was really loud but a nice sound too. Mine sits at an angle out the rear bumper just to be different lol

got mine fitted now. its on a standard cat and standard centre sections, not too loud for long drives and sound spot on. it sits perfectly without bodging anything.
