Ello all, am new to the site and just got me saxo at the weekend its a Vtr s reg. My question is its got a 98 bhp engine in which i thought did not start untill 2001 i think, i thought it might have been remaped but the previous owner i bought it of said its a silver top 98 bhp engine that they started doing in some phase 1's but i only just found out that 98bhp engines have a 3 plug ecu, mine has the 1 plug version its got no mods to the engine but it came with a rr recept with 99.8bhp on it, the other thing is the ecu light come on every now and then and the previous owner said he had it checked in with citreon and they found nothing wrong with it, and the it runs fine u get the odd little judder but not that often, so if anybody could help me or any idea that would be great many thanks all

fault in the injection system, could be a number of things. you need to get it on a diagnostic computer

yes in order to get power at the engine you must measure the power at the wheels, then you can guess the wheel figures, and we can see if hes give you an exagerated figure or not.
