hi guys

ive got a furio 1.4 8v and have been looking into gaining power from the engine without bolting on a halfords special induction kit, So ive been looking at upgrading the inlet i've seen people upgrading it with a 1.3 rallye inlet and vtr inlets but i don't really understand the gains you would get from them and which one would be better. any help in explaining it and advising me on which one to go for would be much appreciated :D

More volumetric efficiency so more air + more fuel = more power, you could always polish inlet or buy one polished for smoother airflow and not too sure about rallye or vrt inlet can't imagine its a bolt on mod think it would need a map or standalone because engine would be running under new parameters could be wrong though MAF might compensate, and tbh if I was you just bang on basic breathing mods and leave it at that till you can afford something with a bigger engine
