flashing airbag light is a fail i believe. Mike has same problem i recon you need to use the saxo canisters and not the gti ones. cant think of any other reason y.

Although i have heard of some garages letting it slip

itdont flash it jsut stays on orange even when i'm drivin indicating a fault and i know its my seats that caused this. i'm thinking i'll jsut pull the bulb out lol or tell him wot the prob is and say can u let it slip, as my dad does his mum favours etc

yes it should be a definete fail if the garage does their job properly.

Just remove the light bulb.. for the time being before you fix it properly

If the light flashes, then there's a problem with the connections. If the light stays on, then there's a problem with the actual (operation of the) airbag itself which could/should lead to an MOT fail.

If you can remove the bulb, I'd do that to get the car through the MOT and then have it looked at after. Whatever you do, don't remove the bulb and then forget to put it back in...
