Bought a brand new s/s Scorpion imola backbox for my vtr this week and tried to fit it today - but just couldn't get the damned thing to fit the standard centre pipe. I messed on for over an hour to try and get the thing fitted using the supplied olive and clamp but the only way it would have clamped up without problems was if the exhaust hung about 6" lower than it should and 4" to the right - so even adjusting the hanging brackets a bit wouldn't have helped.
Has anybody else had fitment problems with Scorpions, or have I just been unlucky?

im not 100% sure on scorpian boxes but the pug/saxsport iirc is made by scorpian and they only fit a pug/saxsport center section as the back box is much longer, which means to fit it to a oem length pipe then the pipe can be cut down to fit, this may or may not be your problem

Thanks for the replies guys. The Scorpion website says "Our extensive range of hand-fabricated back boxes are precision engineered here in the UK to offer a perfect fit onto your OEM exhaust, as well as most quality aftermarket systems" - so it should have fit without problem.
I'm going to return it as it's faulty/not fit for purpose - though i'm expecting an argument from the company as I've opened it and tried to fit it.
It had taken me 2 weeks to decide on that one! Need to start again now, but I need one very soon as my existing back-box is rotten. I wanted o/e fitment, not very loud but stainless steel - not sure such a thing exists.

I had one, used to fit my unsilenced centre section which isnt a scorpion product. However it never sat the best really, I altered the brackets as best a I could but it used to poke out miles when I had a decat fitted, less so with a cat. Poly hangers helped me out too , but in the end I changed the back box for something else
This is about as good as I could get it

I'm on my 4th backbox in 12 months trying to get a good fit... finally I'm sorted. Janspeed ones on my car just didn't bloody sit right! Magnex and Supersprint on mine seem the best option.

The Scorpion sounds like a Pug 106 one. Might want to double check the part number.
