hi i have a vtr with supersprint exhuast stright through
421 mani
as i got the car with the mods im trying to identify parts it has a oil cooler fitted
im thinking of fitting a fastroad cam can any one tell me the standard power band compared to fastroad road cam and allso how do they idle

i dont understand y u would fit a oil cooler can any one expalin manythnks alex

as for parts if they have no stamp or markings your going to have to pop piccys up.
as for if your wanting to fit cams. youll probs need a remap. so it will have to go on a rr as you may find it a bit lumpy. you will be able to drive it without but to get the best out of them!
and as for the oil cooler ive seen them be fitted for 2 reasons. the person has one so they have fitted it or they are wanting to push the car hard so are taking pre cation .

Post a picture of the car and of the engine bay.
Within minutes the saxp members will have named every mod on your car then told you it needs B8s.

Depends what cam you want to fit and what base engine you are starting from. Personally for me with an 8v, anything other than a blacktop/xsi/rallye head is a bad place to start from unless you are going for forced induction.
standard VTR peak power is around 5500 rpm, J cammed rallye engine is 6200 as they got a different management system. With that in mind a remap and possibly a vernier pulley would be of benefit, before things start getting too extreme and pricey
